The Value Stream Lead (VSL) is accountable for all manufacturing related activities within a production manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to a Value Stream Manager, on our Farmington, NM site and be accountable for the daily management and direction of up to 20+ touch labor employees within one shift. The VSL will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the VSL will have accountability for the quality of production, and depot products, while being delivered on time at or below cost targets.

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.

This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.

This is a second shift position.

What You Will Do

• Direct supervision and responsibility for 20+ hourly employees and additional support/technical personnel.
• Collaboration and communication with upstream and downstream VSLs and leadership.
• Utilization of knowledge of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities and manufacturing systems in support of daily execution
• Execution and sustainment of product focused processes, tooling, equipment and test architecture.
• Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching and mentoring.
• Perform a wide variety of improvements, efforts and initiatives related to the factory manufacturing system.
• Assisting with labor forecasts and Estimates at Compete (EACs) for the touch employees.
• Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
  Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to project schedules.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience.
• Experience with either manufacturing or operations.
• Supervisory or managerial experience.

• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
• Experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines, requirements or deliverables
• Experience with manufacturing and industrial engineering practices & with quality requirements relating to manufacturing environments
• Experience with the sequencing for assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations in relation to similar types of products or processes

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
