What You Will Do:
In this role, the System Administrator will use his/her in-depth knowledge and experience to support the NCR NASAMS Program in the Washington, DC area. He/she should be familiar with large scale local area network (LAN) hardware and software and should have a good working knowledge of engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, procedures and work scheduling and reporting. This individual will perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission along with possessing and maintaining a government issued Secret Security Clearance and a CompTIA Security+ certification.
The System Administrator shall possess leadership qualities to enhance the required close coordination, either as an individual (stand-alone) or as a team member, with cognizant military customers to ensure support is provided in a professional, timely and efficient manner. The individual shall be flexible adapting to constantly changing environments and be responsive to the customer's support requirements. The individual shall be capable of providing support and engineering assistance at all maintenance echelons (organizational, intermediate and depot/factory).
Travel
CONUS (10%) travel is required, International (<10%) is possible.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Current/active DOD Secret clearance.
Eight years of computer systems administration and maintenance experience with a heterogeneous
network of systems in a LAN and/or WAN configuration. Network administration and fault isolation/troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware and switch/router configurations. Familiarity with UNIX to include the ability to write and understand Perl and shell scripts and good troubleshooting skills.
Experience with the following:
UNIX hardware and operating systems installation, (including cabling and peripherals) and administration to include Solaris, HP-UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar architectures.
NetApp NAS filers and clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT) operation systems
Cisco router and switch installations and administration
Microsoft Windows Server including DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.
Current CompTIA Security+ CE and Red Hat RHCSA certifications
Provide training and development of operating and preventive maintenance procedures for networked data processing systems.
Qualifications We Prefer
ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience
VMware vSphere administration and maintenance experience
RSA SecurID administration experience
Installation and configuration of NetBackup
Familiarity with DoD DIACAP and/or RMF cyber-security risk management
Experience in the management of computer system security actions and/or in the development of the procedures that support such actions.
Experience in handling and safeguarding of classified and national security information.
Experience in supporting engineering efforts concerned with the testing and evaluation of newly fielded and/or prototype systems.
Computer operations and maintenance experience in support of phased-array radar systems
Knowledge of phased array radar technical principles
Experience in coordinating technical matters with external vendors.
Field Experience
Background and experience with military power generation, electronics technician, weapons, radar, launcher, communication, or fire control systems.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years' experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
