Description
ServiceNow HAM/SAM Developer - JDLooking for a highly skilled ServiceNow Senior Developer with strong expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM Pro). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions, ensuring optimal asset lifecycle management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of ServiceNow HAM & SAM Pro solutions
- Configure and customize modules including:
- Asset Lifecycle Management (Procure → Deploy → Maintain → Retire)
- Software Asset Management (Licensing, Compliance, Reconciliation)
- Implement SAM Pro features such as:
- Entitlement management
- Software normalization & reconciliation
- Publisher packs
- Develop and maintain:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Workflows/Flow Designer
- Integrations with third-party tools (e.g., SCCM, Flexera, Jamf, Intune)
- Ensure data accuracy across CMDB, Assets, and Discovery
- Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering and solution design
- Support audit compliance, optimization, and cost-saving initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues with performance optimization
- Provide guidance to junior developers and review code quality
Required Skills & Experience
- 6-10+ years of overall IT experience, with 4+ years in ServiceNow development
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
- SAM Pro (Software Asset Management Professional)
- Expertise in:
- CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping (good to have)
- ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
- Flow Designer & Integration Hub
- Experience with integration tools (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server)
- Strong understanding of:
- Software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
- IT Asset lifecycle and compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certifications:
- CSA (Certified System Administrator) - Mandatory
- CIS-SAM (Preferred)
- CIS-HAM (Preferred)
- Experience in end-to-end SAM/HAM implementation projects
- Exposure to ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping) is a plus
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery model
