Description
Infosys is seeking a Senior SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
- This position may require travel to Project / client locations.
- This role may Involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD). Hence the eligible candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents only.
Preferred Qualifications:
This role will focus on the design, configuration, and deployment and maintenance of Plant maintenance MRO process as part of a multi-ERP financial consolidation and harmonization initiative. The ideal candidate has deep SAP functional knowledge procurement of spare parts and subcontracting Process, avoid scheduling conflicts and integrate with production plans, post maintenance costs, strategic MRO planning and forecasting proven hands-on exposure to Central Finance architecture and replication, and strong cross-functional and integration skills.
SAP PM module to support entire lifecycle of equipment and assets, including:
- Maintenance planning (preventive and corrective)
- Maintenance processing (work orders, notifications)
- Equipment management (master data, hierarchy, performance monitoring)
- Spare parts and resource planning.
Standup & Health Check
- Review overnight Functional batch jobs (success, runtime, exceptions).
- Triage tickets: missing idocs, data mismatches, shared component conflicts, substitution handling, rework flows.
- Align with FICO, PP, OTC, MM/Procurement, and ABAP/Fiori teams on priorities.
- Adjust Configuration settings
- Analyze impact on workflow.
- Draft or update functional specs for enhancements
• Coordinate with procurement on shared components across projects and priority decisions.
- Validate E2E test cases: Break fixes or enhancement change → key SAP modules
- Re-run jobs for scenario validation; verify relationships in Fiori/GUI reports.
- Check master data: completeness.
- Tune job variants/scope to improve runtime and stability.
- Troubleshoot:
- Root-cause analysis: data vs. config vs. sequencing of jobs.
- Provide quick mitigations (manual allocation override) and permanent fixes (config, enhancements, training).
- Demo outcomes, explain decisions (e.g., why allocation shifted to Project A).
- Update runbooks, solution design docs, test evidence, and knowledge base entries for recurring issues.
- Plan next steps for defects, enhancements, and upcoming release items.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ: $73,000 to $102,200
In Washington, DC: $66,500 to $100,300
