Job Description:
The Airborne RF Electronics Electrical Engineering Department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Production Support Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will be based in Plano, TX. You will work collaboratively with manufacturing, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production, testing, and integration challenges. This role is part of the Processing Production Design Support section, which supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.
What You will Do:
- Conduct technical evaluations of hardware, categorize failure modes, and provide systematic resolutions in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate hardware failure updates and technical findings to program leadership.
- Lead and execute improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Ensure Special Test Equipment (STE) is always functional and strive to optimize test yield.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and travel periodically (up to 25%) to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support production efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and supporting the production and/or testing of electrical subsystems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using standard engineering lab equipment.
- Experience interpreting and utilizing schematic drawings to aid in troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated expertise in fault isolation and troubleshooting at the system, subsystem, WRA/LRU, module, or CCA levels.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience conducting failure investigations and implementing systemic solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Strong communication skills, including technical report writing and delivering presentations.
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with tools and systems such as PRISM, SAP, and CMES.
- Knowledge of compliance standards, including Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
- Programming experience in LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, or Python.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
