Role Description: Are you passionate about leading transformative technology strategies? We're looking for a Site Reliability engineer to join our team
We're seeking a seasoned Sitereliability engineer to keep on top of day-to-day incident management in the digital domain working back with customer's business / IT teams and Infosys offshore delivery teams.
Location: Auckland

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight, ensuring that solutions are built in alignment with architectural vision, best practices, and standards.
- System Integration: Develop and manage complex, orchestrated integration pattens between the commerce platform and various enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, Logistics systems, etc.) using event-driven principles and state machine.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and articulate technical solutions and trade-offs in a clear, accessible manner.
- Technology Strategy: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance platform's capabilities, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Act as a key escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues within distributed, enterprise-level environment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive diagrams, low-level design documents, and technical specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in an enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with enterprise-level digital commerce platforms (e.g., BigCommerce, SAP Commerce, Adobe Commerce, Commercetools, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce
- Deep understanding of system integration patterns, API design (REST, SOAP), and microservices architecture.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern, high-level programming language such as Python, Java, Go, .NET, Node.js.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and strong understanding of its core services.
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing solutions for headless architectures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Professional experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience with serveless architectures (AWS Lambda) and event-driven solutions (e.g., SQS, SNS, EventBridge).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB, and caching/search technologies like OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of the BigCommerce platform and its APIs.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.
