This role is responsible for supporting the digital sourcing functions in Enterprise Services (ES) Strategy and Transformation through collaborating and partnering with suppliers, ES leaders, and functional service owners. A key component of the role is to assess data, support RFx events, setup suppliers, work in our various sourcing systems such as Ariba, manage contracts and metadata.
The ideal candidate will draw from past experience with various software, hardware and labor suppliers. Having experience working for a large multi-national corporation would be a plus. An understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, from intake/request, through contract negotiations to requisition/PO placement is needed for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, analysis and organizational skills, with ability to track multiple projects at the same time.
What You Will Do:
- Entry-level Procurement professional.
- Carries out processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
- Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and / or services.
- Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
- Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.
- Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Assembles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information for analysis.
- Supports the preparation of request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Conduct market research to assess supplier capabilities, pricing trends, and emerging risks.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of contracts including Master Agreements, Statements of Work and Order Forms
- Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.
- Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
