. Role Overview
The Network Architect is responsible for designing and governing enterprise network architecture across on-prem data centers and public cloud (AWS/Azure), ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Network Architecture & Design
• Define and design:
o Enterprise LAN/WAN, Data Center, and Cloud network architecture
• Create:
o HLD / LLD, design patterns, network blueprints
• Translate business requirements into:
o Scalable, resilient, cost-optimized network solutions

B. Hybrid Connectivity (On-Prem ↔ Cloud)
• Design and manage:
o Connectivity between Data Centers and AWS/Azure
• Implement:
o AWS Direct Connect / VPN connectivity
• Architect:
o Multi-region, multi-VPC / hub-spoke designs
• Ensure:
o High availability and DR connectivity

C. Enterprise Networking (On-Prem)
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
o Cisco Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP)
o VLANs, trunking, QoS, multicast
• Data center networking:
o Cisco ACI (APIC, Nexus 9K, VXLAN/EVPN, spine-leaf)
• SD-WAN:
o Cisco Viptela / Meraki solutions

D. Cloud Networking (AWS / Azure)
• Design and implement:
o VPC / VNet, subnets, route tables
• Use key cloud networking services:
o Transit Gateway, NAT Gateway, Load Balancers
• Implement:
o Secure access via:
 Private endpoints, firewalls
• Optimize:
o Traffic flow, cost, and performance

E. Network Security & Segmentation
• Implement:
o Zero Trust architecture
o Network segmentation and micro-segmentation
• Manage:
o Firewall policies, ACLs, intrusion prevention
• Ensure:
o Secure hybrid connectivity

F. Automation & DevOps Integration
• Automate network provisioning using:
o Python, Ansible, Terraform
• Integrate:
o CI/CD pipelines for network configurations
• Drive:
o Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network

G. Monitoring & Observability
• Implement monitoring solutions:
o Dynatrace, Grafana, SolarWinds
o Cisco DNA Center, ThousandEyes
• Use:
o Network flow logs, performance analytics
• Ensure:
o Proactive incident identification

H. Performance, Capacity & Reliability
• Perform:
o Network capacity planning
• Optimize:
o Latency, throughput, bandwidth usage
• Design:
o High availability architectures
o Failover, DR strategies

I. Troubleshooting & Governance
• Lead:
o Complex troubleshooting across:
 TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols
• Support:
o ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
• Maintain:
o Documentation, runbooks, and design artifacts
