What You Will Do:
- Deliver Military Engine classroom and maintenance training, including F100-PW-220, F100-PW-229, F119-PW-100, F135-PW-100, & F135-PW-600 engines to internal P&W customers and external military customers at the P&W Customer Training Center (CTC) in East Hartford, CT and on-site at the customer's worldwide locations.
- Instruction to include, but not limited to, Jet engine fundamentals, engine specific basics, engine specific familiarization, engine specific systems & troubleshooting, test cell operations, borescope inspection techniques, FOD awareness, and human factors type training.
- Support the P&W CTC Military Engine Training Team as a maintenance instructor and subject matter expert (SME) for specifically selected P&W engine models.
- Instruct and act as SME, support designing courseware in accordance with the P&W CTC Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process, evaluating course material for content and accuracy, and recording quality escapes to support P&W quality system requirements. The elected candidate will also be responsible for fielding customer requests and directing customers to appropriate P&W support personnel.
- Participate in yearly activities related to continuous improvement of assets/training delivery, CORE activities and/or EHS activities.
- Support cross functional teams focused on continuous improvement of training operation, company sponsored business initiatives, or broadening training portfolio.
- Frequent with staff members, other organizations and worldwide P&W customers, can facilitate classroom instruction on numerous subjects with some supervision support, support training new and current instructors through coaching and co-teaching opportunities, is known as a subject matter expert (SME) in specific areas of expertise and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction in all aspects of training delivery to world-wide customers.
- Work with CTC team in the professional delivery of military, and possibly commercial, engine maintenance training to global customers. Has knowledge in military engine maintenance who can work with little guidance or direction from others. Candidate will be considered a SME in field of knowledge. Candidate will support customers daily and will continually develop advance knowledge of discipline area.
- Will support annual activities for CTC working with other instructors, ISD and/or outside the organization on field concerns, customer needs, CORE & EHS related activities and new projects determined to be business critical to CTC & PW.
- This position will require travel to domestic and international sites, typically 2 weeks at a time, accounting for up to 20% travel per year.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior experience to include:
- Experience in engine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Commercial or military aviation business needs
- Prior experience leading or teaching engine maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within the customer training organization.
- Classroom & hands-on instructional knowledge & experience in jet engine maintenance, troubleshooting and test cell operations.
- Experience acting as the voice of the customer on operational & business needs that are supported by engine maintenance training. Be able to customize standard training to meet customer needs.
- Human Factors and foreign object damage and experience
- Experience working with customers from all cultures.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Should be self-motivated, team oriented and have a positive personality.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
