Collins Aerospace is seeking a Material Planning & SIOP Principal Specialist to drive production planning, material flow, and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activities across the organization. In this role, you will lead efforts to balance supply and demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure the timely availability of materials to support production schedules and customer commitments. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics, you will play a key role in maintaining schedule integrity and mitigating supply chain risks. This is an individual contributor position.
Your mission: to ensure uninterrupted material flow, optimize inventory and production plans, and deliver products on time while supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and operational requirements.
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure the timely availability of approved materials to meet production schedules.
- Monitor material availability, identify shortages, and mitigate risks to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Inventory Control, and Logistics to resolve supply chain issues.
- Review and maintain master production schedules and recommend improvements to planning processes.
- Prepare and analyze production and inventory reports to identify performance issues and drive corrective actions.
- Liaise with suppliers to verify shipment status and expedite deliveries to support schedule commitments.
- Coordinate material movement through stock transfers, move orders, and shipping requests to ensure efficient flow.
- Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) activities by analyzing demand, inventory, and capacity requirements.
- Develop metrics, presentations, and recovery plans for leadership while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes.
- Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of SAP tools and transactions.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
