As a Material Clerk, you will play a role in supporting manufacturing and customer commitments by ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered throughout the operation. Your work will directly impact production schedules, inventory accuracy, and the successful delivery of products that help keep aircraft flying and missions moving.
What You Will Do
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepares items for direct shipping or delivery according to customer specifications.
- Counts, sorts, compile records and inventory quantities, types of materials received, stored and issued in plants. Prepares material for storage.
- Stores materials in bins, floors or shelves with identifying information. Adds preservatives when and where necessary.
- May cut or prepare materials to fill inspection sample orders.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments; notifies supervisor of damaged items, records storage and corresponds with shippers. Delivers items to the appropriate department, plant site or other locations.
- Loads/unloads trucks and pallets as needed, using hand and power equipment.
- Safely operates all assigned equipment. This would include having met the requirements set forth by the State of Illinois in terms of drivers' license, or by the Company for certification of the safe operation of fork lift trucks or related equipment prior to assignment to work with one of those pieces of equipment.
- Equipment operated weigh scales, stretch wrapper, PCs, automated printing equipment, both line printers and label printers, and other material handling equipment as it applies.
- Possesses knowledge of proper parts handling, cleanliness requirements. Patch checks parts as required. Ability to utilize TGM's system and inventory control procedures for tooling and gages.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3PM - 11PM.
- Will train on 1st shift for roughly 6 weeks from 6:45am - 3:15pm.
What You Will Learn
- Verifying and keeping detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments helps you develop strong organizational and data management skills.
- Learning how to store materials properly, including adding preservatives and identifying information, ensures that you become proficient in maintaining inventory quality and organization.
- Operating hand and power equipment such as fork lifts, weigh scales, and stretch wrappers provides you with hands-on experience in material handling and equipment operation.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain environments.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP systems.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, or cycle counting activities.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role $25.21 - $32.03 per hour; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
