What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney North Berwick Repair Operations (NBRO) is looking for a Repair Industrialization Lead. This is a newly created leadership opportunity in a fast-paced environment requiring project management and technical skills to complete long-term projects. This role will expand and have oversight of a team comprising both hourly and salary personnel.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new repair processes across some of P&W's newest engine programs. Primary focus will be on the Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) product family and F135 product. You will partner with various disciplines internally and externally to industrialize new repair portfolios to grow our business, expand capabilities and support customer fleets. This person will have ownership and manage pricing requests from the sourcing team on new repairs. Repair process development may include various inspection methods, chemical processing, machining, coating applications, surface treatment and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all bidding activity for geared turbofan, military engines, and mature commercial engine programs
- Establish and implement new repair processes from technical data and engine manuals
Drive communications with external functional teams for the creation and modification of new technical data - Execute repair process standard work associated with new product development
- Perform repair readiness level reviews prior to pursuing development or releasing processes to production to ensure business alignment and compliance to P&W procedures
- Pursue internal and external/military source approvals by collaborating with applicable engineering authorities
- Lead the technical review for all new work requests and obtain alignment with all associated disciplines (Manufacturing engineering, operations, Quality, ASE, etc.)
- Provide technical and strategic guidance to business unit's General Manager and Operational Excellence team
- Collaborate with the military and commercial manufacturing engineering teams to ensure alignment on part repairability, tooling, fixturing, etc.
- Create and maintain project timelines and report progress to customers
- Prioritize work to ensure critical needs are addressed and resources are allocated to the right areas
- Manage industrialization budget and staffing requirements
- Leading and supporting overall organizational objectives
- Hiring and developing employees within the engineering organization
- Responsible for writing and overseeing statements of work
Qualifications You Must Have
- Advanced degree and 3+ years Engineering, Operations, OpEx or Project Management experience supporting a manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 1+ years of leadership experience in formal management or project management
Qualifications We Prefer
- Degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical / Manufacturing / Technology / Industrial Engineering or related field
- FAA repairman or A&P certificate
- Finance or Project Management background, and experience managing budgets/costs
- Aviation, Aftermarket, Aerospace or Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
- Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, NX, AutoCAD, and Teamcenter is preferred
- Knowledge of NC/CNC machine tools and programing; familiarity with G&M codes and GD&T symbols
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including interfacing, reporting and presenting material senior level management

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
