Role summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire QA Lead to oversee quality assurance activities for Guidewire ClaimCenter Transformation projects and Application Maintenance & Support projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Guidewire applications (ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter), test management, automation, integration testing, and leadership capabilities. The QA Lead will be responsible for defining test strategies, managing QA teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders
Must have Skills
Domain Expertise:
- Good experience in Property and Casualty insurance domain
- Experience in Guidewire Claims process and exposure to PolicyCenter
- Responsible for the QA Testing delivery across Onsite & Offshore Teams
- Defines QA strategy and ensures cross-system test coverage:
- Align test data strategy and coverage across teams
- Oversee test execution between Guidewire xCenters (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter)
- Automated tests alignment among the platform (Playwright/GTF) - regarding issues, effectiveness, possible workaround.
- Smoke tests ownership in Guidewire Testing Framework (valuestream/xCenter to create and maintain)
- Support defect triage during SIT/UAT if issues span across systems.
- Validate smoke tests and release readiness criteria before production go-live. (go/no-go decision)
- Validation of the compliance regarding designated functions coverage after Ski resort updates.
- Point of contact for test requirements for new features
- Manage all testing and regression testing (Could be seeded to the teams)
- Review the Sprint goals for Testing delivery and review the Test scenarios & Test cases covering all GW functionalities and Business requirements
- Review the regression TCs and walkthrough regression TCs to business / SMEs to get their sign off
- Conduct defect triage meeting and RCA for the defects.
- Prepare defect completion reports at the end of each sprint release
- Perform test execution, generate defect reports and status metrics
- Publish the Testing metrics (Like Test execution progress, Defect metrics, RAG health of Testing) to Project stakeholders on periodic basis (Weekly & Monthly)
- Work with UAT business teams for defect triaging and UAT defect retesting process
- Work with PM and plan for the creation of required Testing environments (Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Performance testing, Automation Testing, Pre-prod Testing) and Ensure the successful completion of different test cycles like functional, integration, E2E, stabilization and dry run for deployment testing
- Identify avenues to improve QA testing process
- Strong functional understanding of Guidewire ClaimCenter (Cloud)
- Guidewire Certified Resource
- Experience with claim, policy and billing life cycles and transactions in Guidewire
- Lead a GW QA Team
- Experience in execution and monitoring of project plans
- Experience in optimizing existing project plans and deliver project goals on time
- Working experience in implementation & AMS programs
- Experience with defect triaging, estimation, stakeholder management, and application enhancements.
- Ability to lead Team and manage client stakeholders
- Working Knowledge on GW Cloud/SaaS Offerings
Good to Have
- AI & Automation Skills
- Working knowledge in GT Framework, Integration Gateway, Advance Product Designer (APD)
