Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Focal Plane Test Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and execution of test procedures on various test structures and systems. This role requires strong technical acumen, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
**2nd Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM in Goleta, California. This is an onsite position.
What You Will Do
- Set up and configure test structures and equipment according to engineering specifications and testing requirements, executing pre-test preparation when necessary
- Ensure proper handling, storage and tracking of test structures throughout the process
- Execute testing operations, including functional, structural, and performance tests, while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor test processes and accurately record data for analysis and reporting purposes in an organized and detailed fashion.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing, escalating complex problems to the engineering team as needed.
- Maintain test equipment for optimal performance by ensuring routine maintenance and calibration are current, coordinating with appropriate teams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards during all testing procedures
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- More than 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Physical ability to lift and set up equipment as required for testing procedures.
- Experience with aerospace or defense testing standards and protocols.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and software used in testing environments.
- Certification in relevant technical or testing disciplines.

- The hourly range for this role is $27 to $32/hour. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills
