The Starburst Engineering Department, located in Largo, FL, is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to contribute to the development and deployment of Cyber Security solutions on the Starburst program.
What You Will Do:
- Administration and Monitoring of COTS Enterprise products to include:
- Windows Server and Workstation operating systems Linux Broadcom vSphere environment
- Enterprise DNS
- Application delivery and load balancing appliances
- Daily operational health checks, maintenance and compliance verification
- Some CONUS travel may be required
What You Will Learn:
- How to deploy a wide variety of COTS Enterprise datacenter systems
- How to ensure the systems you deployed are maintained
- Prove compliance of the systems you deployed
- How to monitor and improve performance of deployed systems to improve customer satisfaction
- How to work at all levels of the enterprise IT lifecycle
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 1 year
- Must be able to secure and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Sec+) within 3 months of hire.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience may be obtained through on the job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Understanding of basic network engineering fundamentals, including: OSI layers, IP addressing, sub-netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
- Demonstrated experience implementing computer security.
- Ability to adapt both an offensive and defensive mindset to support securing information systems.
- Ability to quickly switch tasks based on changing priorities.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
