We are currently recruiting talent on behalf of our nonprofit network who has a position for a Food Service Worker! This position is part of the AbilityOne Program. Candidates selected to be an AbilityOne participating employee must provide documentation verifying a qualifying significant disability, as required by U.S. AbilityOne Commission policies. THE OPPORTUNITY: As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing prompt & friendly guest service inclusive of but not limited to greeting guests, cashiering, meal service, answering guest inquiries, and other services. WORK SCHEDULE: Shifts are Monday Sunday, 5 shifts a work week scheduled anywhere between the hours of 6:00am to 3:00pm. Occasional evenings, weekends, special events and/or holidays when required. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Salad Bar set-up, service, and breakdown: daily set-up of salad bar before meal service; replenish food and salad bar items, as needed; frequently wipe down salad bar. Serving Line set-up, service, and breakdown: restock beverages, condiments, desserts, butter, and salad bar, as needed; monitor and replenish food and serving line items as needed. Dining Room set-up, service, and breakdown: clean dining room floors, tables, chairs, napkin holders, & shakers, as needed during and following meal service; replenish self-service condiments, as needed. Dish Room set-up, service, and clean-up: set-up and frequently operate dishwasher; frequently clear, wash and return dishes to dish storage area(s); routinely empty and clean garbage cans. Cleaning includes daily cleaning of serving line and grill before, during, and following meal service; routinely clean and restock restrooms; daily floor care (sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, carpet spotting/cleaning), as needed. Cleaning and disinfecting countertops and other hard surfaces; washing interior windows and other glass or mirrored surfaces, as needed or directed. General operating basic hand and power commercial kitchen tools and equipment. Other tasks as directed and assigned by Project Manager that will assist in serving the Customer. Perform building inspections and on-demand repairs.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: This position is part of the AbilityOne Program. Candidates selected to be an AbilityOne participating employee must provide documentation verifying a qualifying significant disability, as required by U.S. AbilityOne Commission policies. Must pass a government security clearance upon application as well as subsequent criminal background checks and not be subject revocation of facility access during the term of employment. Valid California Food Handlers Permit is a plus.
