Description
As a Wireless Technical Program Manager in the Virtual Reality Hardware team you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the NPI process to develop the next generation of custom and semi-custom modules/subsystems to drive our industry-leading consumer products. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. We look for program managers who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.Wireless Technical Program Manager, Mixed Reality Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VR Wireless engineering team, enabling the definition, design, and execution of hardware
- Develop Wireless development schedule, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables such as architecture definition, build goals and Wireless requirements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of Firmware releases for Factory during the build
- Tracking any engineering issues during the build and reporting status to leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical, Electronic, Computer science, or other relevant engineering discipline like physics, or equivalent experience
- Experience with component and module qualification, validation and characterization processes
- 5+ years of work experience as an engineering manager /Technical Program Manager, managing hardware/Firmware from concept to mass production
- 3+ years experience working with wireless Hardware Module projects
- 3+ years of wireless design/implementation experience is required, either in HW and/or FW
- Intimate knowledge of Product Development Process in consumer space for wireless HW as well as how to integrate FW to meet HW delivery
- Proven communication skills
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in wireless engineering or equivalent engineering field in consumer electronics

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
