Description
As a Technical Program Manager - Camera Systems at Wearables Hardware TPM team, you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development process to develop the next generation of custom and semi-custom Camera Modules to drive our industry-leading Wearables systems. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. We look for program managers who are motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution.Technical Program Manager - Camera Systems Responsibilities:
- As part of the Camera team, you will drive and track the investigation, definition and delivery of next generation camera modules intercepting Wearables systems, focusing on specification, design, manufacturing, testing, process optimization, and integration
- You will own the component, module and system integration of the Wearable Cameras
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system/module/component requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
- Manage communication within, and between, internal engineering and external vendor teams
- Evaluate suppliers' experience to meet product requirements, partner with the operations team to establish a robust and scalable supply chain strategy
- Drive the component vendors (lens, flex, IRCF) and module integrator designs and deliverables for Camera design and development
- Assist engineering and sourcing teams with supplier evaluation and selection
- Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing environment to ensure on time delivery
- Manage delivery of samples and mass production parts for the different builds
- Organize required face to face on site meeting with vendors
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans
- Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
- Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success
- Breakdown the complexity of technical programs to enable a clear understanding of scope and deliverables to a wider audience of team members and support functions
- Identify resources needed and work closely with team leaders to maintain full visibility of the project schedule and potential roadblocks
- Up to 20% travel
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years experience working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics
- 3+ years experience working on Camera Module, Image-sensor or Optics Hardware projects and solid understanding on their functionality and supply chain
- Experience with program management methodologies like Agile, Phase-gate approach and tools like Smartsheets, Gantt charts
- Experience with component,module and system level qualification, validation and characterization processes
- Knowledge of program and issue tracking
- Experience operating across multiple teams and projects
- Experience leading and partnering with Asia-based vendors and contract manufacturers
- Demonstrated experience in cross-functional team communication, authoring and presenting documents, synthesizing information into the most salient points to move a team / initiative forward
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Augmented Reality products and technologies
- Experience with Camera & Sensor component/module/system level qualification, validation and characterization processes
- Solid understanding of Camera-modules, Optics and Image-sensor functionality

$134,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
