About the Role:
As a CBRE Senior Manager FM Engineering Operations, you will lead and manage a team responsible for providing comprehensive technical and operational support to our account staff. You will be a key part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of critical building equipment and systems. This is a hands-on leadership role based at the Alpharetta, GA location.
What You'll Do:
- Team Leadership & Development:
 - Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
 - Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
 - Manage employee training initiatives.
 - Oversee recruitment and onboarding.
 - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
 - Operational Management:
 - Manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
 - Develop and maintain work schedules and assign tasks.
 - Implement cross-training programs.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
 - Analyze operational data and make recommendations for improvement.
 - Financial & Resource Management:
 - Manage the engineering operations budget.
 - Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
 - Prepare budget reports.
 - Compliance & Standards:
 - Ensure team adherence to laws, regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
 - Conduct regular audits and inspections.
 - Continuously evaluate and improve processes and standards.
 - Strategic Contribution:
 - Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
 - Identify opportunities for innovation.
 - Demonstrate understanding of business and engineering principles.
 - Proactively identify and resolve complex technical and operational issues.
 - Understand the impact of engineering operations on the broader organization.
 - Lead by example, embodying CBRE's RISE values.
 
What You'll Need:
- Education & Experience:
 - Bachelor's degree preferred and 5+ years of experience in data center, facilities management, building operations, or a related field, with progressive responsibility.
 - Team Management Skills:
 - Proven experience in all aspects of team management (staffing, performance management, training, and development).
 - Strong leadership and motivational skills.
 - Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to convey clear expectations and address challenging situations.
 - Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
 - Technical Skills:
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
 - Other:
 - Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
 - Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
