Join us on the cutting edge! Meta is looking for a Public Policy Manager on the Media and Intellectual Property (IP) team to specialize in IP and AI. In this role you will work closely with the rest of the Media and IP team as we navigate this growing, novel and important set of policy issues. You will work closely with our team, as well as the legal, partnership, product and extended policy verticals, to help develop internal and external policy narratives, to provide product advice, to support engagement with policymakers, and to develop proactive responses to new and emerging AI and IP questions. You should be knowledgeable in copyright and emerging AI issues, have experience with policy-oriented research, be highly organized, and possess experience collaborating with cross-functional partners. You should also have the capacity to meet high expectations and be prepared to plan and execute complicated tasks for different regions and topics.Public Policy Manager, Media and Intellectual Property Responsibilities:
- Identify, monitor, and analyze copyright and AI issues affecting Meta at the international, regional, and domestic levels
- Assist in advising Meta business, product, and regional policy teams on copyright and AI-related policy matters to support the development of our products and policy positions
- Develop narratives and research on AI and IP for policymakers (e.g., filings, consultations)
- Collaborate with valuable thought leaders and stakeholders (e.g., academic experts, thought leaders)
- Identify changing business and regulatory trends and help develop proactive IP and AI policy strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in public policy, law, technology, or similar field
- Extensive experience in intellectual property policy, particularly copyright matters
- Experience collaborating with policymakers or international organizations
- Familiarity with AI
- Experience presenting to cross-functional partners, consensus building, and making policy recommendations
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree in Public Policy or Law
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in AI
- Advanced degree with a focus in IP
- International policy experience
- Experience working with and advising technical product teams
- Experience with policy or communications campaigns (in government or as an advocate in an association, company, etc.)
- Project management experience

$151,000/year to $216,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
