About the role
The Project Manager will provide consulting services to Miami, FL market client accounts to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Project are comprised of ground-up and renovation construction throughout South Florida including corporate office, healthcare, life sciences, and industrial clients.
This job is part of the Project Management function and responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. This is a hybrid opportunity and must be local to Miami, available 2-3 days/week in office or on jobsites.
What you'll do
Manage all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Interface directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project, including the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Apply knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge for your job subject area and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
Work within broad guidelines and policies and explain difficult or sensitive information.
What you'll need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
- General knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices and the ability to read architectural drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote). Project Management software experience (i.e. MS Project, Procore)
- Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive and entrepreneurial mentality.
