We are seeking a Program Quality Lead to join the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) team primarily supporting the production phase of Sentinel Radar programs at Raytheon's Forest, MS location in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will provide in-depth knowledge of Quality Management System requirements and work within integrated teams to evaluate, control and improve product quality. They will focus on overseeing continuous improvement projects and driving Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts. This position will partner closely with Supplier Assurance, guiding engagements at suppliers to reduce overall product lifecycle cost, risk, and improve customer deliverable products.
This position is a hybrid role for Raytheon's Forest, Mississippi location.
This position includes ~50% domestic travel to suppliers.
The selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.
What You Will Do:
- Develop partnerships with program and production managers, IPTs, and support functions to drive issue resolution and implement improved processes.
- Guide root cause investigations, facilitate corrective actions, implement closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to increase product/process predictability and capability.
- Interpret command media in compliance to work being performed.
- Execute product quality strategies using tools such as PFMEA, Product Process Verification (PPV) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Interpret mechanical/electrical prints
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of related experience in the following areas;
- Experience interfacing with various engineering disciplines
- Experience working with customers, suppliers and in a team environment.
- Experience exercising judgment and applying solutions with appropriate supervisory intervention.
- Experience using Quality tools, including Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, and process mapping.
- Experience comprehending and translating external and internal requirements and command media.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience applying verbal and written communication and networking skills
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Experience using descriptive statistics and statistical control methodologies
- Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-Sigma, Lean manufacturing)
- Experience applying technical concepts such as PFMEA, SPC, Control Plans, and Process Capability Assessments
- Experience using Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP
- Experienced user of presentation tools such as Microsoft Office PPT
- Experienced user of MS Excel
- Experience applying GD&T tools sufficient to interpret design intent
- Experience using common PDM for accessing, reviewing, and managing engineering documentation
- Current Secret clearance

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
