Medical Digital & Innovation Lead (m/f/d)
Location - Munich, Germany
As Medical Digital & Innovation Lead, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a uniform digital strategy in the medical sector of GSK Germany. The aim is to strengthen the digital excellence and innovative power of Medical Affairs by identifying, evaluating and integrating internal and external digital innovations. You will promote the continuous improvement of digital processes and tools, manage the digital project portfolio and further develop existing structures and roles to adapt them to the requirements of the company's digital transformation and the needs of the therapeutic areas. They coordinate collaboration with global and local stakeholders and ensure that patients receive the best possible care by providing medical experts with the best possible information and training.
Main Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and continuous development of the Medical Digital Strategy and KPIs for Medical Affairs Germany, in close cooperation with the individual medical departments.
- Leadership and development of medical digital managers, promotion of team cohesion, competence building and best practice sharing.
- Identify, evaluate, and scale internal and external digital innovations (e.g., new technologies, start-ups, analytics) to improve HCP interaction and patient care.
- Management and prioritization of the digital project and innovation portfolio, including definition and reporting of KPIs.
- Development, implementation and continuous optimization of the omnichannel strategy for the therapeutic areas
- Promotion and integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, data science and digital platforms (e.g. Veeva).
- Initiation and management of change management processes to adapt existing structures and roles to the requirements of digital transformation
- Coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Digital & Tech, global teams, agencies).
- Promoting a digital culture and continuous improvement, including upskilling and change management in the medical field.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completed university degree, preferably in the field of digital management, natural sciences, pharmacy, medicine, economics or comparable.
- Several years of leadership experience in the field of digital transformation, innovation or omnichannel management, ideally in the medical environment of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working within a matrix organization as well as in lateral leadership across different functions and hierarchical levels.
- Proven experience working with Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the development and implementation of digital strategies and innovation projects, including external innovation scouting.
- In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, data analysis, project management and agile working methods.
- Experience in leading and developing teams as well as stakeholder and change management.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical ethics, compliance, and governance.
- Strategic and innovative thinking, strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex topics in an understandable way.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and independent way of working.
- Team player with a high willingness to change and resilience.
- Enthusiasm for digital innovation and continuous improvement.
