Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to join the Enterprise Engineering team, with a specialized focus on Data and AI programs. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to solve some of the toughest enterprise data problems, define robust metrics, and drive impact by enabling data enabled decisions across the supported teams and functions. You will work closely with engineering, product, analytics, and AI/ML teams to develop scalable solutions, support machine learning initiatives, and help shape how data and AI power Meta's enterprise systems.You will effectively translate complex data into actionable insights for all organizational levels and provide strategic guidance on leveraging data driven insights for strategy and operations improvement.Manager - Data and AI Programs Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large-scale, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that address critical enterprise challenges and inform strategy. Deliver structured reporting and actionable recommendations tailored to different audiences
- Metric Definition & Governance: Design, implement, and maintain clear and measurable metrics/Key performance indicators aligned with business objectives. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency of data definitions and reporting
- AI/ML Solutioning: Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to ideate and bring solutions leveraging AI. AI project lifecycles-including data sourcing, feature engineering, experiment validation, and results interpretation
- Data Modeling & Visualization: Build a scalable data infrastructure. Develop and maintain advanced data models, dashboards, and self-serve analytics tools to enable stakeholders to access and interpret business-critical information
- Data Governance & Compliance: Adhere to and champion best practices in data privacy, security, and governance in all analytics activities
- Complex Problem Solving: Partner with business and engineering teams to resolve hard business issues by leveraging data
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively communicate analyses, complex data concepts, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams. Influence roadmaps and strategic decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in business/data analysis roles with a focus on enterprise-scale data systems and tooling
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language such as Python or R
- Experience working with large datasets, distributed data systems (e.g., Hive, Presto, Spark), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
- Proven track record of defining and operationalizing metrics for complex technical organizations or platforms
- Demonstrated experience supporting AI/ML projects with relevant data analysis and business understanding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience in Corporate IT or internal tooling for large organizations
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and enterprise data governance
- Demonstrated project management experience and experience leading analytics initiatives end-to-end
- Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience in influencing and driving consensus
