Summary of Role:
Join a team of research, design, build, and integration technologists focused on the execution of RTX strategy to transform Hosting Services across the enterprise. The Hosting team delivers the compute that enables RTX to lead and innovate in aerospace and defense. In this role, the hosting delivery leader will collaborate across the enterprise and with each business unit ensuring all stakeholders are aligned to deliver business value per project scope. This person will leverage subject matter expertise, business acumen, financial analysis, and other competencies to develop business case and execute plans for transformational hosting initiatives.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end data center transformation initiatives, including migrations, hybrid infrastructure deployment, and hosting platform modernization
- Manage project risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure project goals (e.g., deadline, scope, and quality) are achieved
- Assign and monitor work of project team, providing technical and analytical support and direction
- Serve as the liaison between DT leadership, business units, operations teams, and external vendors/partners to deliver strategic initiatives
- Manage third-party service providers, including service delivery, and performance metrics
- Ensure all transformation efforts comply with relevant regulatory, security, and operational standards
- Develop and manage budgets related to hosting transformation programs, ensuring cost optimization and ROI
- Drive organizational change by aligning people, process, and technology throughout the transformation lifecycle
- Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team of hosting professionals, architects, and engineers focused on delivering infrastructure transformation projects
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including a leadership role managing datacenter and hosting environments
- Deep understanding of traditional and modern hosting models, virtualization, networking, and storage technologies
- Strong program management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-year programs across global or distributed organizations
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive leadership
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven experience leading large-scale data center transformation or migration projects, including public/private/hybrid cloud implementations (e.g., AWS, Azure, Datacenter)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor performance effectively
- Experience working in Aerospace & Defense industry
